Leicester Legends v Nottingham Legends Empty Leicester Legends v Nottingham Legends

This Sunday at The Dovecote Stadium there is a charity game between Leicester Legends and Nottingham Legends K-O is 2pm and the gates at the ground will be open from 1130am.

The game is to help Terry Amos who is Steve Walsh's brother in law in his rehabilitation from the amputation of his left leg in March Terry had travelled from Thailand and was admitted to hospital with a condition called DVT (Deep Vain Thrombosis) as a result of the condition Terry was forced to have his left leg amputated and is currently going under physiotherapy and rehabilitation with use of a prosthetic limb.

Steve will bring a team of Leicester Legends including himself, Muzzy Izzett, Neil Lennon, Julian Joachim, Matt Elliott, Simon Grayson, Carl Muggleton, Matt Piper and former Shepshed Charterhouse and Leicester player Carl Heggs also from the world of sport and music Boxing binman Rendell Munroe, Singer and song writer Jersey Budd and the Vouce semi finallist Bizzy Dixon.

Up against them will be a team of Nottingham legends including Mark Crossley early reports included Des Walker, Steve Chettle, Michael Johnson, Alan Rogers, Jason Lee, Des Lyttle, Bryan Gunn former Forest and Shepshed Charterhouse Goalkeeper Darren Heyes and Martin Carruthers who you will remember most recently with Basford United of the MFL.


Alongside this Emile Heskey will be in attendance to sign autographs.

The snack bar will be open as usual along with a barbecue behind the goal. Alcoholic drinks will be available bia mobile bars around the grounds and soft drinks are also available from various points.

After the game the players will be available for autographs and photos and Steve Walsh is bringing various items of memorabilia to auction as well.

This shoud be a good day for a good cause so come and join us a the Dovecote Stadium as a healthy crowd is expected.

On that note anyone who has any spare time prior to kick off and during the game could you speak to Mick Sloan if you are at tomrrow afternoons match.
