AWFUL performance

I challenge any player who played v Heanor to come and tell me next week they gave 100%. Because what i saw was 11 players playing for the money not the shirt that performance was embarrassing.

The early signs aren't very promising, maybe they'll come good but I don't hold much hope.

I left on Saturday gutted not only that we missed out on £1,000 in prize money, but a chance to progress in the FA Cup and bring in some much needed cash in to the club. We were at Step 4 last year, they were at Step 6 and they've turned us over on our own patch - frankly embarrassing. Blaby (a) to play in the next round who play in the league below us, and then Eastwood (a) - a winnable game. Potentially £6,000 in prize money to the club, and 180 minutes from the first round proper. However, no one on the pitch seemed to care and why would they. They have no loyalty to the club, every week there seems to be someone new in the squad, and someone else having left - I don't really know any of this bunch of players and I doubt many of them will be with us at the end of the season.

Why can't we build a squad of lads from Shepshed, Loughborough and surrounding areas and build the team that care more about the shirt than whats in their paypacket. Signing lads from Nottingham and beyond doesn't work, as soon as they get a better offer or the money drys up they'll be off. Something needs to change

thats the problem at all levels of the football pyramid i`am affraid . its totally wrong . but wat can you do . thats where the ifc at our place have sed the young ones of the club are the future. yes they go early to higher clubs but thats where the clauses come in hopefully .
