Shepshed Dynamo ended week 1 of the Midland Football League seaon undefeated with two victories. Thinking of doing away with the timeline this season and putting short reviews from the games plus all the other action from the league.

Opening Day Victory - Continental Star 1 Shepshed Dynamo 3 (Duufy 2, Patteron) att 70

The BWA travelled in their usual large manner and John Folwells team minus Jeff tocking came out comforable victors. Dynamo controlled the first half. It took eighteen minutes before Jake Duffy reacted first to Star's keepers save from Whymark to take the lead. Shepshed failed to add to the tally and Lauriie Pearson was called into action twice late on in the half.

Shepshed again dominated the second half but it tool until the 74th minute for Jake Duffy to double his and Shepshed's score. Kyle Patterson then came off the bench and the former LA Galaxy player volleyed home Shepshed's third four minutes later. The only disappoiintment was a late consolation for Continental Star in injury time.

Jordan Ellis certainly kept Continental Star in the game and made some superb saves to be Star's man of the match. I thought Jake Duffy the energy and ground covered plus two goals made Jake Duffy Shepshed's man of the match.
