Last weekend a majority of the teams like ourselves were in FA Vase action here's a looka t how they fared.

AFC Wulfrunians travelled to Leicestershire to East Midlands Counties side Bardon Hill goals from Sedgemore 2, Thompson weren't enough to see the Wolves through as Sports forced a replay through two goals from Hanslow and one from Hart. AFC Wulfrunians progressed to the 1st Round proper with a solitary goal from Thompson in the replay last night att 61.

One of the big upsets of the MFA clubs was Mickleover Royals one nil away victory at league leaders Basford United Mickleover currently play in the Central Midlands South Division.

Then on Sunday the Boys from Sutton Park travelled to Belper United of the Central Midlands League and were defeated in extra time 2-1 Dom Brennan scoring for QFC.

Brocton and Kirby Muxloe met in an all MFA tie and produced a nine goal thriller Brocton going through with goals from Berks, Dockery, Fife 2 and Bell Muxloes goals from Seal 2, Sheahan and Marriott att 86.

Tipton under their new management team of Nicky Pugh, Paul Hanley and Wes Cox took the tough trip to MFA Div 1 Bromsgrove Sporting and in front of a crowd of 267 Sporting came out the winners with goals from Conway and Willis Pangne scoring for Town.

Coventry Sphinx fell at home to MFA Div 1 side Studley tw goals from Bailey and one form Hylton caused the upset Evangelinis and Gumery scoring for Sphinx att 47. Today Sphinx first team cosck Lee Jon Rhodes has parted company with the club due to work commitments he has been replaced by Stu Dutton

Continental Star also went out to lower league oppposition in the shape of Willenhall Town from the West Midlands League goals from Clarke and Sudlow were enough to see them through Star's goalscorers Johnson and Robinson att 29

Rocester look as if they are steadying the ship under new management but were forced into extra time away at MFA Div 1 side Heather St Johns eventually winning 4-3 goals for The Romans Ritchie - Smith x2 and Brown x2 Black, Wallen and Wheeldon for St Johns att 51

Long Eaton United still remain unbeaten and were awarded the MFA Team of the month award for Septemeber they beat Lincoln Moorlands Railway 3-0 at home with goals fom Fell and two from King att 83

Dunkirk are another side on the up and prior to their FA Vase tie at South Normanton they had announced no fewer than 10 new signings forward Carey - Bertram scoring on debut, defender Jay Smedley from Basford, midfielder Kieran Whailin, goalkeeper Ash Malhotra, Defenders Jack Caulton travelling actoss from Tipton and Ben Cheadle, Midfielders Matt Ellis, Dean Bennett and Courtney Pitt and Forward Sam Ellis from St Andrews. Other goals on the day were from Kresnial, Want Westcarr and Taylor.

Walsall Wood beat Pershore Town at home 3-0 goals from Black, Evans and Forrest att 61. They then scored 3 again without reply last night away at Loughborough Uni goals from Butlin x2 and Evans

In league action on Saturday Causeway United lost 3-0 at home to our opponents Coleshill Town goals from Benjamin x2 and Cobourne att 75 Coleshill are currently in action at the moment away at Tipton Town and are leading 2-0

The other league game on Saturday ended in a 1-1 draw between Westfields and Boldmere Jones for the Fields and Clarke for the Mikes att 147. Westfield before their County Cup game last night announced the permanent signings of Nathaniel Lewars and Dequon Eubanks who have been released from Hereford United and on loan striker from Evesham Utd Marcus Palmer.


One other game in action tonight was Continental Star and Stourport Swifts hopefully results fom both tonights MFA games later.
