Club Pontoon

At the recent Supporters Club meeting we discussed ways of raisng money to help subsidise the cost of the coach to away games because at present it is running at a loss and Mick Sloan is kindly paying the balance personally.

We have decided to try running a Club Pontoon, the rules are below, to help raise the funds. The money will be split 50% to the winner and 50% to the Club. Please try to get as many people involved as possible; the more that enter, the more you (could) win!

The Rules :
- £1 per week
-Teams are randomly selected.
-All goals scored by a team in any weekend (Fri-Mon incl.) fixtures are counted.
-If a team plays more than once over a Fri-Mon period only the first match will count.
-Both league and cup matches count. Cup games include extra time but not penalties.Friendlies will not count.
-If a team does not play over the weekend, or the match is abandoned, then they will be awarded 2 goals, irrespective of the reasons.
-The first team(s) to exactly 11 or 21 goals wins.
-If a team exceeds 21 goals they are out of the game.
-Once a team reaches 11 or 21 goals that pontoon game is stopped.
-Each time a pontoon game is started, the teams are re-drawn for everyone, so you should not have the same team consecutively.

Just to clarify for the less intelligent amongst you (Gaz!!!), the 11 or 21 goals don't have to be scored in 1 game.....................

Although Arsenal, Chelsea, M** **d and Reading all had a good go this week :lol:

Please could you let me have all names by Thursday at the latest so I can enter them for this weekend. Those of you who put your names down on Saturday don't need to let me know.

Just to let you know that, due to the number of people who have entered, there will be only 1 team per £1 entry. We now have 55 entries so there are still 37 places left if anyone is interested.
