So today sees us embark in the 2nd game in the F.A Vase against a side from Staffordshire who ply their trade in the same level as ourselves in the Midland Football Alliance.

Kick Off at The Dovecote Stadium is 3pm once again we encourage everyone to the ground happy hour is between 1 and 2 and the game itself is a major important game to both connections and a good crowd would be great to see.

Rocester today's visitors known as The Romans are familar to The Butthole and without in depth research I was slightly out in my programme notes they last visited the Dovecote in 2005 a season where Dynamo did the double over them away 3-2(att 105) and at The Theatre of Dreams 5-2 late on in the season (att 85) unfortunately the season Rocester dropped out of The Evo Stik into the Midland Alliance.

This season they are currently 10th in the Midland Football Alliance and the two clubs league forms stand as

Shepshed Played 18 Won 7 Drew 3 Lost 8 pts 24 scored 41 conceded 31
Rocester Played 14 Won 5 Drew 6 Lost 3 pts 21 scored 28 conceded 19

Rocester's last five competitive games are;

Bewdley FA Vase home won 4-0
Tipton League home lost 2-0
Stratford League away 1-1
Bridgnorth League home 2-2
Coleshill League away 1-1

So the tale of the tape going into tomorrows game couldn't be closer when the draw for this round both sides were on good runs but both teams forms have ebbed and flowed as per the comment Rocester are currently draw specialists which would mean a trip to Staffordshire instead of Lincolnshire Tuesday.

To the club tomorrow it's £1200 in prize money but to all of us it's a place in the last 32 of The FA Vase and a step closer to Wembley and with the added extra of 1 one leg Jim and Johnny the Rhino on their quest to see every FA registered Saturday competition lets make The Dovecote Stadium once again filled with the sound of the BWA and encorage the lads through so we can all sit at work on Monday morning anticipating the draw on the FA Website for the last 32.

See you all at The Dovecote Stadium :cheers: :bounce:
