Once again Shepshed exit a cup competition on penalties to be realistic if this had been a league game or any other cup competition than a Charity up then the game may never have started or seen it through to the end as a fogbound Dovecote made it difficult to work out who had the ball or where the ball actually was at times Shepshed had the majority of the possession in the first half but ex Shepshed keeper Sam Taylor was rarely tested with Pritchard, Cole twice and Martin firing wide. Scott Low was forced to kick clear from an Ibstock attack and Ibstock had the ball in the back of the net only to be disallowed for offside.

It was hard to see what Dynamo were doing on the attack in the 2nd half but Ibstock were invited into the game alot more Sean Byrne eventually with approx 15 minutes remaining opened the scoring but how it went in I'll leave to the imagination as if it wasn't for members of the BWA standing behind the goal and the Shepshed players celebration it would have been hard to tell we had taken the lead. Shepshed could have extended their lead with 3 consecutive efforts blocked inside the 18 yard area. Ibstock continued to press the game and with time running out Sam Wood was deemed to have fouled near the halfway line Taylor took advantage of the refs leniancy and moved the ball forward Shepshed's defence expecting Low to advance hesitated and Benson Shot was deflected into the path of Rudkin to place into the empty net possible offside but nobody can be judge the Assistant linesman for looking a cross an imaginary line Ibstock had one final chance to the claim the game before the final whistle but a free header went wide.

The tie entered penalties and Ibstock started disastrously with 2 of their early penalties one saved by Low and then a shot blazed against the bar putting Shepshed into an unasailable position but with Pritchard firing wide the pressure turned and with Attenborough stepping up for the final penalty to put Shepshed into the Semi Finals Taylor saves sending it to Sudden death both sides scored their first penalty and Ibatock ent in front and up stepped Rich Wilson only to shoot straight at Taylor putting Ibstock into the Semi Finals against Ellistown.

Team Low, Pritchard, Smith, Cole, Attenborough, Woods, Tuck, Martin, Chaplin, Wood, Wilson subs used Byrne and Marson
