Shepshed slumped to a heavy home ddefeat against 8th placed Stamford and with that result they now mathematically can not get out of the bottom two :( .

Shepshed started the brighter with a shot from O'Connor on 8 minutes then on 13 minutes Chaplin shot rebound off the bar only for Stamford to break and a good strike by Kirk on 14 minutes opened the scoring.

Stamford extended their lead 10 minutes before the break when Holden slotted home the 2nd to go in 2-0 at the break.

I missed the 3rd goal as I was just coming of the clubhouse when the restart was happening from conversations poor defending let in Holden for his second and just after the half hour mark Kirk added his second and Stamfords 4th.

O'Connor's strike on 73 brought short lived joy to Shepshed but for final strikes which were saved by Martin and cleared off the line Shepshed were left hanging on.

It was a bit like deja vous as Stamford controlled the game at The Dovecote just ike they did at their ground earlier in the season.

Loughborough Dynamo 3 Lincoln Utd 3 att 106
Market Dryton 1 Rainworth 1 att 105
New Mills 4 Coalville 2 att 201
Sutton Coldfield 6 Brigg 1 att 101

So with Ilson only drawing Grantham were crowned champions with their 1-0 victory over Quorn. Congratulations to Jimmy, Wayne and everyone connected With The Gingerbreads.

Ilkeston, Charlton, Sheffield and Leek still hold the play off places but Belper are hot on Leek's heels only 3 points behind so with Belper at home and Leek away we could still have a hand in the play offs.

ourToday's NLP shows the unwanted R next t ourselves and Quorn ar only target is now to finish above them.
