After finishing 16th in the Midland Football Alliance in 2013/2014 the proposed new league named as the Midland Football League will open on Saturday August 2nd as we participate in the Midland Football League Premier Division full constitution stilll tba pending Highgate's appeal but the new league website is one to follow and hopefullly updated on a regular basis will be a good source of info the website address is http:/www.midlandfootballleague.co.uk which also already shows regular tweets from member clubs over the next few days we'll take a look at new member clubs Brocton F.C, Long Eaton Utd who ended our FA Cup run last season, Basford F.C and Lye Town who also ended Shepshed Charterhouses FA Cup campaign.

Further news from the below the Midland football League have now confirmed the full compliment of teams for the coming season. Highgate Utd's appeal against their ground with the F.A failed at the beginning of the week and will be relegated to the newly formed Midland Football League Division 1. Two teams are confirmed as promoted Brocton and Lye Town, the relegated sides are Highgate and Heather to the Midland Football League Division 1 and Rocester have been re instated to the Midland Football League Premier Division. Fixture news will follow in the coming weeks the first of these will be announced this Friday ftom the FA HQ in the form of the FA Cup and Vase draws expected on their official website around midday.
