A good test against a side playing at the same level as ourselves in high temperature and in front of a decent crowd of 108 for a friendly. Cogenhoe were the better side early in the game but Shepshed found their stride and became more dominant and were unfortunate to go one behind with a deflected effort passed the forlorn Thacker. Shepshed equalised just before the break with Callum Thompson's effort deflected passed the Cooks keeper.

David "Poj" Hinds coolly rounded United's keeper on 52 minutes to put Dynamo in front. The visitors equalised with eight minutes remaining but Shepshed remained unbeaten in pre season with a Callum Thompson free kick with time running out.
