New Season Starts TODAY Empty New Season Starts TODAY

Post  Gibbo Sat Aug 02, 2014 10:51 am

So we embarl on a new season of aspirations, ambitions, days of elation, days of frustration, days of disappointment, days of getting home on top of the world and days of why did we bother turning up today but that's all part of why we all not just oursleves stay loyal to their club the new MFL Season begins in ernest today at 3pm and the BWA begin their tour of the Midlands from the Dovecote Stadium departing 12pm prompt for those travlling on the coach in their 20th Anniversary season away at AFC Wulfruniians Castlecroft Stadium.

AFC Wulfrunians finished 8th in the MFA last season and honours were even with Shepshed winning up The Butthole 1-0 with a goal from Keiron Davies and Wulfrunians gainng the revenge 3-0 at their ground.

Shepshed have been unbeaten but tomorrows opponents have also looked impressive in pre season beating Tividale, Halesowen Town, Litchfield, Wellington Amateurs and AFC Rushden & Diamonds a draw agains Bilston and a defeat against Hednesford. A tough but on paper a close encounter will be expected and both sides will understand pre season means nothing once the first blast of the whistle at 3pm occurs. AFC Wulfrunians have already commented on the good away following so lets enhance our reputation and start the season loud and proud on and off the field. Once again a number of the BWA will be travelling in fancy dress.

Entrance to The Castlecroft Stadium is £5 Adults £3 Concessions Under 16's £2 and Under 10's free. Away food and drink wise if I remember from last season liquid rerfreshment and cold limited cold food was available from the clubhouse in the main stand but inforunately no neighbouring watering holes nearby in walking distance for the travelling BWA.

Looking forward to the opening of the 20th Anniversary season see those who are travelling on the coach up the Butthole and the rest at The Cstlecroft Stadium.

Here's the other fixtures and a look at a limited review of the final week of pre season elsehwere.
