Shepshed's pre season campaign and the positive attitude from all involved within the club continued this afternoon as we visited a side which used to be our arch league rivals and with the progresssion this pre season maybe in 12 months time we may play them at the Dovecote Stadium in a friendly or League action next season.

Shepshed continued their pre season campaign with confidence and I hope come 3rd August we can open the league in the same determination we have shown so far.

With Gresley plying their trade in the league above as mentioned in the preview they duly came to The Dovecote and were strong and walked away 4-0 and it's a saying what a difference 12 months can make.

So onto todays game

Gresley make a final charge in injury time Thackers makes a good save from Gresley's 17 who has an exceptional strike from long distance and then again 17 again from lomg distance deflected wide, Thacker reacted well as Gresley went through and in the dying seconds 14 fired wide.

A review of the game we were the far better side first half and Ryan was reduced to one save at the death but the experience of playing a side of above we have to be careful of over exposure of attacking play as we could have been caught out a few times. Second half for the first ten minutes we could have extended the lead but with their experience of playing in a league above they pushed us to a limit which if we want to move and achieve the aspirations we all want to meet but defensively we coped with it.
